My husband, Daniel, and I are a 30-something couple who are into great design and like to travel, live, and eat well, but unfortunately have to stick to a shoe-string budget.  We just bought our first house (yay!) which is a fixer-upper.  I love to decorate but am EXTREMELY impatient and have big ideas and expensive tastes.  I see cool ideas all the time, but everything always seems so expensive!  I always see these things and think, "I could do that!"  So, I decided to start this blog to chronicle our renovations, yard work, and DIY projects on our first house and show the world that with a little elbow grease and a lot of imagination, you can steal expensive ideas (hey, ideas are free, right?) and copy them with little to no money!  (And yes, occasionally, I may have a random original idea of my own...)  Here’s to new beginnings and happy, budget-friendly blogging!
